April is a Partner and the Practice Leader, Career Transition with Knightsbridge Robertson Surrette and has practiced in the field of consulting and coaching for more than 15 years. She has played an instrumental role in developing the firm's Career Transition and HR Consulting practice, and establishing the firm as a leader in Atlantic Canada. She is trained in Facilitation, Coaching, and Conflict Management.
April is a finishing her Executive Masters in Business Administration at the Sobey School of Business. She became certified as a Career Coach in 2008 and is a member of the International Coaching Federation, Atlantic Chapter. Previously, she has held marketing and senior administrative roles within the federal government, recruitment, and communications sectors.
An active community member, April sits on the Boards of the College of Physicians and Surgeons, United Way Halifax Region, the Halifax Partnership, and the Black Business Initiative. Formerly, April was Chair of the Africville Heritage Trust and served as HR Chair on the Board of Dress for Success. Involved with the Co-operative Housing sector for over 15 years, April served on Cooperative Housing Federation of Canada's Diversity Committee representing Atlantic Canada. As a mentor to young professionals, April enjoys providing advice and guidance to soon-to-be leaders in the community.
