Halifax, NS – As the holiday season approaches, the IWK Foundation wants to remind the community that it is not currently participating in door-to-door or telephone fundraising. The organization has recently received several reports of a person trying to collect money from residents in the community of Fairview in Halifax using an old IWK-branded coin box. To our knowledge, this person is not a registered fundraiser for the IWK.

Armdale-Fairview-Rockingham Lions Club Announces ‘Chase the Ace Halifax'

Halifax, NS On November 1, Armdale-Fairview-Rockingham Lions Club officially launched Chase the Ace Halifax, a fundraising initiative that will support the IWK Foundation. Each week, tickets will be available for purchase at all Needs Convenience store locations in the Halifax Regional Municipality, with participants vying for a chance to win the jackpot by selecting the Ace of Hearts.

Fourth Annual IWK Radiothon on 95.1 FM CFCY raises $44,724.52

Charlottetown, PE Islanders came together today to support local children and families who receive care from the IWK during the fourth annual IWK Radiothon on 95.1 FM CFCY, presented by Atlantic Superstore. Listeners and sponsors raised an outstanding $44,724.52 during the live broadcast from Charlottetown Mall.

IWK Announces The Wessex Scholarship

Halifax, NS - The IWK Health Centre (IWK) and the IWK Foundation are delighted to announce The Wessex Scholarship. Created to commemorate the visit of His Royal Highness The Prince Edward, Earl of Wessex to the IWK Health Centre on November 2, 2015, the Scholarship recognizes the important role community service has played in supporting the IWK in providing exceptional care.
