Many of our loyal donors have a connection to the IWK Health Centre. Your support means that the IWK can continue to provide specialized care to the most critically-ill patients in the Maritimes for generations to come.
On Friday, December 29, 2017, Jeremy Ingham passed away after a long and courageous battle with cancer. Exactly one month before his passing, Jeremy made a personal donation to the IWK Foundation to establish the Jeremy Ingham Cancer Research Trust. The Trust will enable undergraduate science students the opportunity to apply for a studentship in research. Jeremy was passionate about cancer research and his legacy will live on in the lives he helps through the Trust that he established.
Fifteen years ago an idea was sprung at Irving Oil - one that would greatly impact the lives of Maritime patients who rely on the IWK. It was called ‘Fuel the Care’ and since its inception it has been making life a little easier for the many families who travel to the IWK for care and treatment.
When Cole Harbour, NS father-daughter team Brad and Alexis Crossley decided to enter the Trans Am Bike Race, they saw the US cross-country race as a platform they could use to encourage others to live an active lifestyle by raising funds for the IWK Health Centre.
Known throughout PEI for their impressive bottle house village in their backyard, Gar and Bonnie Gillis are also known for their generosity to the IWK.
