The EMERGE Campaign

IWK Health is home to the only emergency department in the Maritimes that specializes in the care of infants, children and youth across Nova Scotia, Prince Edward Island and New Brunswick and is the only Level 1 Pediatric Trauma Centre east of Quebec. That’s why the redeveloped emergency department is so vital in our region. If you are faced with a situation where a child you love requires life-saving emergency care, the IWK is the place you need to be. It’s a flight, car ride, or ambulance drive away and it means that children can get the care they need right here in the Maritimes.

With your help, the IWK Foundation will ensure excellence in the quality of emergency care and services for Maritime children and youth. Together, we will improve the patient-family experience inside the new emergency department through space design and innovation, resulting in the delivery of better health, wellbeing and an improved experience for patients, service users and staff alike.
