Our Values

The IWK Foundation Seven Values

The IWK Foundation values are our “Aisling,” Celtic vision poem,
which drive the values of our team culture.

To belong to the IWK Foundation is to belong to the mission of building a healthy strong future for generations to come.

These are seven truths that guide us and are the DNA of our mission.

  1. Respect is the cornerstone of our existence as a group of people. It is the main building block for trust in ourselves, others and the work we do collectively.

  2. To show Resilience is to be flexible and bend like a tree in a hurricane, not fighting against the winds of change, but finding a way through.

  3. We strive to live in a state of Gratitude receiving gifts of the heart, resources and time from others to support the children and women in our community.

  4. We are Humbly Confident in our purpose. We understand that we may not know everything and humbly ask for help.

  5. We are Curious by nature and we seek to learn, to know and to understand others.

  6. Passion for the Cause. We passionately pursue our mission with the belief that the work we do directly impacts women and children in our community and beyond.

  7. As Owners, it is our responsibility to nurture and own the mission and the purpose of the IWK Foundation.
