At Esther’s 20-week ultrasound, doctors discovered Elena had Congenital Diaphragmatic Hernia (CDH), a rare and life-threatening condition that can leave babies with small, underdeveloped lungs.

The IWK 250 at Riverside International Speedway was co-founded by Steve Lewis and John Chisholm in 2007, combining the excitement of stock car racing with the power of community giving.

Charlotte County IWK Fundraising Committee

For the past 38 years, the Charlotte County IWK Fundraising Committee—a group of dedicated working moms—has been proudly supporting the IWK through various fundraising initiatives, raising an incredible $400,000 to date.

In December 2023, Ashley and Chris were shocked to learn their then three-month-old son, Ellis, had Wiskott-Aldrich Syndrome (WAS), a rare genetic condition that affects a child's immune system, blood cells, and skin.
