Jeremy Ingham Cancer Research Trust

On November 29, 2017, Jeremy Ingham, a remarkable 22 year old who was passionate about scientific research and finding a cure for cancer, made a personal gift to the IWK Foundation to establish the Jeremy Ingham Cancer Research Trust. Jeremy’s sole purpose for establishing the trust is to enable undergraduate science students the opportunity to apply for a studentship in research so they are afforded the opportunity to gain experience and exposure to research during their undergraduate degree.

The Jeremy Ingham Cancer Research Award will be awarded to a top undergraduate student in Atlantic Canada engaged in cancer research and fulfilling Jeremy’s dream of improving the outcome for patients and particularly children and young adults with cancer. The Beatrice Hunter Cancer Research Institute will manage the call for applications and scientific vetting of the studentship every year.

Thank you for supporting Jeremy's vision and helping fund future cancer researchers.

If you can help make the world a better place then do it. That was the motto that Jeremy Ingham lived by and one that created the foundation of his legacy, the Jeremy Ingham Cancer Research Trust Fund. His mother, Jennifer, expresses that while the holidays can be a difficult time for her family she shares how one act of kindness helped make things brighter. Here's her story...
