Liam Willman

Liam Willman of Chester, NS was born with half a heart—a condition called hypoplastic left heart syndrome. He had five open heart surgeries and countless stays at the IWK by the time he was a three year old.

In the summer of 2019, Liam became ill and his care team at the IWK’s Children’s Heart Centre determined that he needed the aid of a pacemaker to control his heartbeat.

Today, at the age of eight, Liam is doing great. Through the care he’s received at the IWK, he is healthy and happy and enjoys school and having fun with his family and friends.
