For more than 33 years, RE/MAX has proudly supported children's hospitals across Canada through the Children's Miracle Network.
So, when RE/MAX NOVA opened its doors in 1996, it was only natural that the team carried on that legacy by supporting the IWK—the largest pediatric hospital and trauma centre in Atlantic Canada.
"We believe the IWK impacts every single person living in the Maritimes in some way," says Nas Klayme, RE/MAX NOVA co-owner. "That's why we continue to fundraise every day."
And RE/MAX NOVA's dedication shows! Over the past three years alone, RE/MAX NOVA has donated more than $300,000 to the IWK.
Their first annual golf tournament at the stunning Hartlen Point Golf Club, held in June 2025, raised over $40,000 for the IWK—a testament to the generosity and spirit of the RE/MAX NOVA community. It was a fun-filled day with friendly competition, breathtaking ocean views, and the satisfaction of knowing participants are making a real difference in the lives of Maritime families. A big thank you goes to our chairs, Dawna Candelora and Betty-Lou Killen, for organizing this amazing event. The funds raised from the golf tournament will go towards the redevelopment of the IWK's Emergency Department.
In addition to the company’s fundraising initiatives, RE/MAX NOVA agents also donate a portion of their commissions, ensuring that every sale makes a difference. They also fundraise in ways that are meaningful to them and their communities.
This past year saw exceptional results from these efforts, including the MKR Team's second annual Casino Gala event, which raised $10,000 for the IWK. Additionally, the Bagogloo Team successfully hosted their first-ever Golf Simulator Tournament, raising over $12,000.
"We are really proud of all of our agents who do their own fundraising events throughout the year," shares Ryan Hartlen, RE/MAX NOVA Broker and Partner. "Their personal fundraising efforts make a significant impact on our overall contributions."
This year, owners Nas Klayme and Craig Snow presented the team's donation during the 41st IWK Telethon for Children on CTV, continuing their long-standing commitment to helping Maritime families.
"At RE/MAX NOVA, it's more than real estate," says Craig Snow, RE/MAX NOVA co-owner. "It's about helping our communities thrive."
