When Alycia from Bathurst, New Brunswick, was three years old, her mom, Danika, noticed something wrong with her eye. One looked smaller than the other, and her cheek was swollen. She thought that perhaps their cat had scratched her eye.

Henry was 14 months old when he was airlifted from his local hospital in Saint John, New Brunswick, to the IWK in June 2022. He was fighting a trifecta of common viruses and was in respiratory failure.
