Halifax, N.S. (March 26, 2021) - The IWK Foundation is remembering and celebrating the life and legacy of Mr. Donald C. R. Sobey, a visionary leader whose sheer dedication to philanthropy and community was rooted in the belief in helping others. The Sobey Family has been generously supporting the IWK for many years. As part of this support, the Donald R. Sobey Foundation joined members of the Sobey Family and Foundation to establish the Sobey Family Chair in Child and Adolescent Mental Health Outcomes – a first in Canada. This Chair will have a lasting impact on patients and families living with mental illness and those caring for them, both now and for years to come.
