Barry is a founding partner in the Bedford Law Firm, Presse Mason. Barry’s practice primarily involves representing injured Nova Scotians. Barry has been recognized since 2007 by Best Lawyers in Canada for his expertise in personal injury law. Barry is a Past President of the Atlantic Provinces Trial Lawyers Association, Past Chair of the Rocky Lake Development Association and former Chair of the Bedford Business Association. Barry has been awarded the Canadian Bar Association’s Community Service Award (2008), APTLA’s Courageous Advocacy Award (2011), was named Bedford’s Volunteer of the Year (2007) and received his Queen’s Counsel designation in 2014.
In February 2011 Barry’s daughter, Olivia, was diagnosed with Acute Myeloid Leukemia (AML) and was hospitalized in the IWK for six months. Through the incredible efforts of the IWK and Olivia’s determination she remains in remission.
