I spend a lot of time at the IWK. My favourite people are the people from the Child Life team.

After Gabryelle was born, her parents suspected something was wrong when their daughter didn’t seem to be gaining any weight. At four weeks old, a sweat test determined that Gabryelle had cystic fibrosis, a disease that affects the digestive system and lungs.
The staff become part of your life. You see them on a regular basis and they just become family.

Gabryelle's journey has been challenging. She requires daily physiotherapy and must take numerous pills so she can digest food. But through it all, Gabryelle just keeps on smiling.
