After spending countless hours at the IWK, I gained a deeper appreciation for what an outstanding hospital it truly is.

Julie had a relatively stress-free pregnancy with her daughter, Mila, but the arrival of their second child was quite different. Entering the world over six weeks early, Grady was born through emergency C-section after Julie's "mommy senses" told her something was wrong. After spending four weeks in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) at the IWK, Grady's family was able to take him home. It would be less than two days before Grady would require the care services at the IWK once again. Today he is a happy and healthy baby, thanks to his amazing care team.

We got to know the nurses, and everyone was so wonderful. You knew that your baby was receiving the best care possible.
