Oliver

Oliver

When 16-year-old Oliver, a star quarterback for his high school football team, discovered a lump under his arm in February 2024, he never expected he’d have to tackle what came next.

Hugh, IWK patient

Hugh

Michele and Matthew were eager to grow their little family and give their one-year-old son, Dean, a sibling. So, they were delighted in early summer 2024 when they discovered Michele was pregnant.

Jody, IWK patient

Jody Ross

We are heartbroken to share that Jody Ross passed away on February 6, 2025, at 42. We had the honour of knowing Jody and watching her grow into an incredible woman, mother and friend.

IWK patient, Georgia

Georgia

For Melanie and Neil, from Prince Edward Island, needing the IWK was something they never anticipated. But in May of 2019, their second youngest daughter, Georgia, began showing signs of illness. At first, it seemed like nothing out of the ordinary.
